We were out of ink in our printer this week. So, I decided to let Megan use one of the preschool workbooks that she got as a gift for her birthday. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised, but I was. She breezed through most of the book with only help with directions. I didn't realize she was retaining that much information from Heart of Dakota. I was surprised... and very pleased.
Even when it came to beginning sounds, she knew the answers. We hadn't really covered that before. Just learning the sounds as she learns the letters prepared her more than I realized.
Running out of ink only interfered with Laura's work one day. However, the ink arrived quickly, and we were back to normal within a few days. Laura also took the time to help Megan with her preschool work. I love watching my girls, despite the age difference, working together.
