Getting Focus Back

The weather is getting cooler outside.  With the changing weather, and the changing dynamics in our home, mom had to take a break and gain some of my focus back.  The events of this year in our lives really threw me for a loop, and I had a difficult time recovering from all the events that just kept happening and seeming to spiral out of control.

After two very light weeks, I decided to get things back in gear.  I picked up today (Yes, on a Friday) where I basically left off two weeks ago.  Laura has made incredible progress in math the last couple of weeks with her focus only on the basics, but it was time to re-add history and science.  On Monday, Megan will jump back into the swing of things too, instead of preschool only once every few days. 

Megan did finish the letter "L" this week.  She finished it with a friend. I began babysitting a little three year old girl part time.  Megan was thrilled, not only to have a friend, but to have a partner in her school time.

Laura went back full steam with Heart of Dakota.  We began week 6 today.  Both Laura and I were so happy that we had a break.  So many others are just beginning school, but we've already been going since mid-July, and needed to take some time to reassess.
