After a summer where the intense heat drove us inside most days, the cooler fall air has been wonderful. My oldest daughter nearly died in the heat this past summer, but she is feeling better now that the air is cooler.
Even though some of my tomatoes are still ripening on the vine, the leaves are changing. We haven't had a frost yet, so some of my garden is still going. I may only have a week or two left though before frost comes.
The leaves are even beginning to change on my rose bush, even though the roses are still in bloom. It is nearly October. This year I am grateful for fall.
