Today was the first day of VBS at a local church. Every year the girls look forward to this program. Megan got to attend for the first time this year, and was ecstatic to return.
The local church that does the VBS is wonderful. It isn't our home church, but they put so much into the VBS program that it is just amazing every year.
It is a true outreach for the community. It is well planned with lots of volunteers. I am always so grateful for all the wonderful effort and love shown to the children in our little town... all for Jesus.
This year's program is called Pandamania. There is usually activities for the children to do at home to reinforce the lessons taught during VBS. They also accept non-perishable food donations to donate to the local food pantry.
Also, the children usually have the opportunity to ride on a float in the Independence Day Parade. This program is so wonderful. I love being able to share how local churches so desire to share the Gospel of Christ with their communities.
