Our days doing preschool have been hit and miss this week. My teenage daughter is babysitting part-time. When she has children here at the house, Megan doesn't want to do school. She wants to play. The children being babysat are too young to join in our preschool. Today, I ventured to make up two days in one. I don't like doing that, and I almost cancelled preschool entirely this week. We will be missing Friday to take a trip. However, our family banded together this afternoon to help Megan have some fun learning.
It's "E" week. E-E-E! Megan is enjoying the fingerplay even if it challenges her fine motor skill level.
All these wonderful activities, that seem kind of silly sometimes, are so perfect for helping Megan learn and remember the letter and it's sound.
First, we had some help from some of Megan's friends as they played all the brothers of Joseph.
It was an awesome way to tell the story of the brothers bowing before Joseph.
Next came Art time.
Tasha, Megan's big sis, jumped in here and helped add sand to the desert.
Then, working more with the letter "E", Megan glued on some beans to the letter. However, she was working at a VERY slow pace. We had to leave by this point to run errands. So...
Laura and Tasha both jumped in to help finish the project.
Finally, Tasha sat down with Megan and read the second Bible story of the day. We did it! We completed two days of preschool. I still don't like doing it, but Megan had a blast with her family around helping her out.
