After a rousing childrens' church service with a lesson on true Freedom, we painted faces and colored a 'God Bless America' picture.
My sister then held a cookout at her house. The adults and teenagers played 3 HOURS of volleyball. Needless to say, I am sore today. The kids played at the park and the house.
We ended our fourth by watching fireworks in my town.
The surprise of the day was Tasha. With her sister in Louisiana for three weeks, Tasha was asked to sing on the worship team. She got up there and just did amazing. She sounded wonderful. She was nervous, but she just closed her eyes when she sang and focused on God. For so long, Tasha didn't think she could sing. She loved it, but Kim has such a powerful voice that she was kind of intimidated. However, she has recently come into her own. She switched from soprano to alto, and just bloomed. I am so proud of her.
It was a fun family day.
