A Veterans Day Celebration

Today at church we held a Veteran's Day celebration and dinner for our vets. We honored not only those from our church, but those we know and love amongst our friends and family that have or are serving.

It was a touching tribute. The powerpoint presentation was emotionally charged. There were pictures of family members and military currently serving, some overseas.

My Father-in-law that passed on last year, my Brother-in-law who is a captain right now, and my teenager's father who is getting ready to ship to Afghanistan were all just a few of the many pictured and honored for their service.

Even though it is a few days early, we honor veterans for their service and their sacrifice.
