We made a shield of faith in our first week homeschooling. Laura read about it in Grandpa's Box and in the Bible. She didn't do it exactly like the instuctions. She wanted to color it, not just cut out paper shapes. So, I let her. She enjoyed making this, and we enjoyed the conversations about what a shield of faith really is and what it is used for. She designed her own coat of arms. Three crosses, the middle cross larger than the other two with a halo over it. I liked it and she was proud of her work.
