This has been a busy week, but not for school. I knew that this week would be crazy. Laura did three days of school this week. She has started learning about the Declaration of Independence. She did three lessons in nearly all her subjects except spelling, which we skipped this week. Seriously, we are so focused on Easter that we have been quite busy. With the Illustrated Sermon "The Mercy Seat" being performed tomorrow and Sunday, there has been little time for extra stuff. Laura is working steadily on her latch-hook for 4-H. Plus, we have been painting walls in the church bathrooms for Easter too. (They really needed a new paint job.) I don't think I've seen my husband much all week due to the fact that with work and helping and the play he is just not home.
Ironically, we got cell phones yesterday. I didn't want the extra expense, but I just can't get ahold of my family with all the stuff they are doing. Plus, no one can find me when I leave my house. I know, I've been very late about using all this modern technology. Poor Laura didn't think it was fair that the teenagers got phones and she didn't. However, she is nine. She'll get over it.
I am excited about this weekend. I LOVE Easter. I love that my Savior died for me. Today is Good Friday, and all I want to do is just bow down and thank him for his sacrifice.
