HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!!!

We went to our church for a New Year's Party this year. We did skits, played games, ate food, and did a white elephant gift exchange. Then, a little before midnight, we went into the sanctuary and worshipped God for a little. We counted down the last few seconds of midnight, then the Praise Band started playing some faster praise music. What a wonderful feeling to ring in the New Year praising God. The children that were at the party all went to the front of the sanctuary and started dancing around and jumping. Megan would jump so hard she would fall down, get back up, and jump some more. Laura had a blast with her friends.
The last song was a worship song. The feeling of peace that washed over me was unexplainable. I am so glad I have Jesus in my life. This last year may have been rough, but I know that my Saviour is still in control. I may not understand everything, but I am trying to learn to trust him more and more.
All in all, ringing in the New Year celebrating God was amazing.
