A Full Day Of Learning
Trying to make up for not getting much accomplished yesterday, I planned a lot today. We finished it all, and that makes me happy. I knew we had some making up to do, so last night I made out the lesson plans for the week. I discovered that Laura likes lists. I had the list sitting on the dining room table. You know...1. bible story #63, 2, Matthew 26:1-30, 3. Prims Communities #4, 4. Math flashcards, etc...a simple list to check off as we accomplish tasks. Laura seemed to take great pride in checking off things from the list as she accomplished them. Knowing this I think that having a list for her is good, as long as she isn't rushing through her work just to check things completed. I fear that she might have a tendency to rush through stuff and not learn it very well if checking things off a list is her sole motivation. I made up a list per day for the rest of this week. I'll have to watch to see if this is beneficial for Laura, or if I should just make my lists for me and not let her use them as motivators.
