We went to my Mother-in-law's home for Christmas. We prayed for this Christmas to be filled with peace as it is the first one since the unexpected death of my Father-in-law in November. It was a nice Christmas. We all felt the loss of Dave, but we were determined to not let it get us down. We chose to not spend much money on gifts...though the kids got some little things. (Of course my Mother-in-law broke that rule by getting us all gift certificates to a local movie theater.) Instead we focused on togetherness. We played games and enjoyed good food and told stories of memories. It was a nice time. Next year there will be a new baby as my sister in law is pregnant. I pray it is a boy they can name David, after his grandfather. But if not, a girl will be just as big of a blessing.
