Laura's Girl Scout troop held a spa and makeover night. There was spa treatments with warm scented lavender towels, foot creams, lotions, and Mary Kay cleansers.
Laura thought some of the stuff was "Gross". She didn't like the feel of the hand scrub and moisturizer. She thought the feet stuff felt weird. I liked it, but a mom loves to be pampered. Even if it is only for a brief time, it feels really nice to be rubbed and scrubbed and fussed over.
Laura didn't really put on makeup for Mary Kay. The leaders just let the girls use a little of the cleanser for younger skin while they talked about the importance of washing your face and taking care of yourself.
It was an enjoyable evening. I was not wanting to go, but was glad that I did. It was nice to forget about all the stuff I had to do and just relax.
