Annual Bonfire

My husband's family held its annual bonfire.  We do this every October to help celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday.  Not everyone can make it every year, but it is always a good time.

The younger cousins love it!  They get to cook hot dogs over the fire.  Later in the evening, we always roast marshmallows. Sometimes we make s'mores, and sometimes it's enough to light up a few marshmallows.

A lot of memories are shared as we eat and enjoy being together. My Father-in-law passed away almost seven years ago, and it is always a time to remember the great man and man of God that he was.  He is dearly missed.

It has become challenging to get everyone together with older grandchildren getting married and work schedules.  But, we always determine to enjoy the ones that are there.
