Beginning My Seventh Year of Homeschoolig

I am officially beginning my 7th year homeschooling in a few hours.  What began as a "Let's try it" has turned into our lifestyle.  I wouldn't trade homeschooling now for any other type of education.

Laura, my guinea pig, was my first student.  My husband and I pulled her out of school in October of third grade. She was doing okay academically, but was developing other issues. I worried that my shy girl would become even more shy at home.  Instead, she blossomed. The shyness diminished, even in public.

I was such a bundle of nerves at first.  Did I really feel God wanted this for our family?  What if I screwed up my kid?

But I researched like a mad woman.  I discovered different homeschooling methods. We tried some of this and some of that.

Now Laura is beginning high school? I can't believe how fast time has flown by!
