Slowly Settling In

Slowly we are getting moved into our new place.  It has been the hardest move ever... In many ways.

While being half moved, I've managed to get some school done the last couple of weeks.  But for the next couple of days, schooling will stop.  It's time to get this move over with!  Time to get the rest of our things moved, unpacked, and sorted.

I've added to my homeschooling materials.  This probably wasn't the best idea since we are downsizing a lot, but I couldn't resist this awesome, older Childcraft set.   A friend is relocating to Texas and didn't want to move them.  She also threw in the history set next to the Childcraft books.

For the first time since I purchased them, my Weaver guides are all lined up nicely.  I don't have the Supplement to Volume 1, but I have lots of time before I'll need it.  We are in Volume 2 now.  I also chose to forgo the Day by Days because I like planning for myself.

Losing a schoolroom has made me have to be a bit more discerning in my materials.  There just isn't space for a huge library, though maybe... One day... If God wills.

My focus has been very off.  Tough times often come with tough lessons.  I can only state that I've been very humbled by it all.  My faith took a hit, but not in a way that would crumble it.  My faith is undergoing some cuts, cuts of things inside me that need to go that I didn't realize was there.  But, God has a plan beyond my comfort level.  I just have to trust that He'll guide us along the way.
